What is Phat Strad?

Unique. Ultra-cool. Rockin’. Elegant. Beautiful. Powerful. Chic. Sexy. Versatile. Visual. Universally appealing. Technically speaking, Phat Strad is an international cast of beautiful, classically trained girls playing futuristic electric instruments to an industrial strength club groove…or, in the words of those who see our shows, we are simply AMAZING! Created by bandleader and producer Roby Turner, and A-list electric violinist Ivie Etkins, Phat Strad was born in the nightclubs of Las Vegas and is now in demand for concerts, prestigious events, and corporate shows all over North America. The band is available for International shows as well and has performed in such locales as Vancouver, Canada; Los Cabos, Mexico; and Rome, Italy. Although best known for a classic rock mashup performance style, Phat Strad’s incredible versatility has filled their show calendar with gala dinners, awards shows, rock concerts, ritzy receptions, premieres, convention openers, celebrity parties, grand openings, weddings, and various over-the-top extravaganzas. Phat Strad has its own unique musical style. We take a great song, create an original arrangement for string quartet, produce an accompanying club groove in our own studio, add guitar pedals, throw in some incredible chops and performance flair, and BAM! You have the distinctly original musical product that is PHAT STRAD. All delivered by young, beautiful, and talented women!
